Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions listed below are applicable for seminars offered by the Gustav Stresemann Institute and carried out according to their own responsibility.  Should you be a participant of a guest group that is conducted by a third party, the conditions of the third party usually apply. Please contact the relevant organisation should you have questions regarding this.

Registration:
Please register yourself in writing giving the date and title of the seminar, your address and telephone number; with family seminars, the first name(s) and age of children should also be given. Your registration is binding. Available places will be allocated according to the order of received registrations. A waiting list will be established. A written confirmation of your registration will occur within 14 days.

Participation fee:
Please pay the total participation fee to our bank account upon the reception of your confirmation of registration.IBAN-Number: DE 42 2586 2292 0003 5408 01
BIC: GENODEF1EUB

An instalment payment will be adequate for big events. If possible, use the transfer form that is attached to our confirmation of registration! The details on your bank transfer should include the date as well as your first name(s) and surname. Should a cancellation occur up to a month before the start of a seminar, you will receive the entire sum back; with later cancellations, a cancellation fee of commercially rounded 20% of the seminar costs will be withheld, while for cancellations within eight days before the start of the seminar, we must withhold 75% of the participation fee, unless you find a replacement person.  A reimbursement will not occur if you do not turn up.
Around two weeks before the start of the seminar, you will receive more detailed information about the seminar and the means of arrival. Naturally, short-term registrations are also possible according to seminar capacity. Please arrange the method of payment with us.In exceptional cases, advertised seminars may not occur. We will endeavour to inform you of this in a timely manner. Please ascertain whether the seminar will take place or not before making your travel arrangements, as we will unfortunately not be able to reimburse such travel costs.Discounts:
Discounts are applicable for the prices of selected seminars. Please find the information in the seminar announcements regarding the offered discounts.
Should you recruit someone to be a new guest who participates at one of our seminars for the first time, you shall receive a discount of 10% of the participation fee the next time you book a seminar.  To this end, it is important that the new guest refers to your recruitment when they fulfil their registration. This discount is not applicable for married partners and one’s own children.
For seminars that happen in January, February and December, partners (i.e. married or life partners) receive a 20% discount when they register themselves for a seminar together.  This discount is not applicable for the New Year’s Eve seminars.

Accommodation and food:
We charge participation fees independently from the services used. No reimbursement will occur should the non-utilisation of certain services occur. Accommodation happens in en suite double-rooms. Bedding and towels are provided. When needed, multi-bed rooms will be arranged during family seminars. Almost every room has a telephone.  Single rooms are available upon the payment of a €15 surcharge. When a wish for a single room has been expressed, we need to reserve the right to accommodate you in a room of similar quality close to our house.
Should a walking impediment hinder the climbing of stairs, please inform us during your registration, so that we can give you a wheelchair-accessible room on the ground floor. We offer you four daily meals – mostly in buffet form. For midday you have the choice between a vegetarian meal or one with meat. Particular wishes due to food intolerances and similar issues can be fulfilled when possible; please inform us of such a case before your stay here.  We point out that special wishes may be connected to additional costs.
